Tributes Continue for the Reiners as Autopsy Reports Remain Under Wraps.
More than two weeks subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of celebrated film director Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community continue to honor the couple.
‘Life is Pain Without You’: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director
Sharing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, explained he just recently felt ready to post publicly about his personal sorrow.
"Sufficient time has gone by that I can finally articulate my loss into words," posted Elwes, adding that his first meeting with Reiner left him smitten. "As we began sharing more moments together I knew this was someone I wanted in my life."
The actor uploaded behind-the-scenes footage from the film, adding that he cannot recall "any day without joy".
"The movie is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Values that Rob held dear. That is part of the many reasons he was the perfect person to direct it," Elwes expressed.
He additionally honored Michele Reiner, stating: "Claiming that they were a formidable pair would be an understatement. My heart still aches every time I recall you." He concluded with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."
Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Fellow Artist
In a different piece, revered director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he initially encountered in the 1970s.
"From the start, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a instant connection for each other. He was very funny and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese wrote.
Scorsese highlighted Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the lead role.
"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked beautifully with his co-stars, and he understood the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese noted.
Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Withheld
Recently, a Los Angeles superior court judge agreed to block the publication of the Reiners' autopsy reports, following a petition from the local authorities.
A court order placed a security hold on the cases to restrict the public release of "related notes, documents, files or images" connected to the probe.
The Medical Examiner's office had earlier stated their deaths were the consequence of homicide, with a official listing noting the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

Following the tragedy, public personalities shared varying reactions.
Former President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, offering divisive remarks that were broadly criticized by numerous commentators.
Podcaster Joe Rogan added his voice to the critics recently. Conversing on his show, Rogan characterized the comments as "disturbing" and suggested they demonstrated a worrisome lack of empathy.
Rogan ended by remarking that an adviser ought to have acted when the impulse to comment on the passing was made.
