Barça Set to Play First Game at Partially Completed Camp Nou this Saturday

Barcelona have announced they will play at the partially upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday. Athletic Bilbao will visit the Bilbao team in the Spanish league over two years after they moved out so building work could begin.

“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited with 45,401 fans are permitted inside under the licence granted. After final construction, the Camp Nou is due to hold close to 105,000 fans, up from the previous 99,000. The club said recent additions comprise a renovated tunnel for players plus modern locker rooms.

Preparatory Events

The club conducted a public practice at the Camp Nou in early November. Officials stated they were hoping for permission from Uefa for their upcoming Champions League fixture against Eintracht Frankfurt on 9 December at the stadium. They have been hosting matches at the Olympic Stadium.
